A. Mohan Kumar’s association with janakeeya samskkaarika vedi led him to engage deeply with environmental issues. From resisting evictions in Ezhimala to advocating for victims of Endosulfan exposure in Kasaragod district, he has been part of numerous grassroots struggles. He was also involved in campaigns against projects like the Bhoothathankettu dam, the Peringom Nuclear Power Plant, and the Enron Thermal Power Plant. A passionate advocate for nature conservation, both within and beyond Kerala, he served as the coordinator of the Western Ghats Raksha Yatra. He was a member of the editorial boards of Prerana, Vak, and Pathabhedam, and has served on the State Environmental Expert Advisory Committee. He currently lives on a farm in the Kodachadri Valley, Karnataka, where he cultivates and harvests organic food. His book Why Does Peter Schumann Bake Bread? was published by Prasakthi Book House.
